Phone Session Guidelines
Updated: Jul 28, 2020
My intention initially when the coronavirus first became a concern was to stay open as long as possible and to take the necessary precautions at the office such as maintaining proper distance, frequent handwashing and the like. However, since mine is considered a "non-essential" service, I am following the State of NJ recommendation to close the office to in-person visits at this time.
A number of people have contacted me regarding the possibility of conducting sessions on the phone. This is something I have done in the past and this option is currently available. First, you will be sent via email a simple intake form that you can fill out online. There will then be an interview process where we discuss your current situation and you will receive an orientation as to what to expect during your hypnosis session. We can do this initial interview via Skype if you like or it can be done over the phone
This is followed by a guided hypnotic experience based on your current needs and concludes with some sort of homework assignment. Below are some guidelines as to what is involved after you've set your appointment.
Set up your environment so you won't be disturbed. You may be sheltering in place with friends, family, and pets. You will need to be in a room by yourself and request that others do not interrupt you for the time we will be working together. Make sure you have comfortable seating.
Earphones are advisable. The speakers on most phones and digital devices are of so-so quality, even a cheap set of earphones or a headset will enhance the experience.
If using a smartphone, disable notifications. All phones have the option of temporarily suspending notifications of new calls, texts, emails, etc. Please use this option to minimize distractions. The same holds true if you are using a computer or tablet.
Billing will be handled via Pay Pal. After your session, you will receive an email invoice that will enable you to pay for your session fee online
